WELCOME TO THE ALLAMBIE JETS!
The Allambie Heights Junior Rugby Union Football Club had a rich history from 1965, but folded in 1992 due to a lack of young people in the area. In 2012, Allambie Rugby Club was established as a result of the growing number of young people in Allambie, and a enthusiastic group of parents keen to provide Rugby Union as an option for their children's sport locally.
Now with 6 very successful seasons under our belt, we look forward to Season 2019 and are extremely excited about what’s to come. We are again seeking players in the U6 – U12 age groups, born between 2007 & 2015, to play for our great club where all members of the family are engaged and made welcome to ensure everyone has a great time at rugby.
As a club we have three clear aims:
- To promote junior sport and rugby union
- To have fun whilst promoting safety and sportsmanship
- To develop skills and confidence in line with age and ability
Registration for 2019 will be open soon! CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT REGISTRATION or come and meet us at our Open Evening in February at Allambie Heights Oval. Come up and say hi, join us for a sausage sizzle and some fun games for the kids, and find out about junior rugby and playing for the Jets!
Rugby Union is well supported by the Manly Junior Rugby Union, NSW Rugby and the Australian Rugby Union who have established the TryRugby Kids Pathway for players U6 – U12. The aim of the TryRugby Kids Pathway is to provide a series of age-specific modified rugby games. These modified rugby games progressively develop the individual skills, fitness and team work of all players in accordance with their physical maturity and understanding of the game. Other benefits include: - Increasing activity levels for maximum participation and enjoyment - Meeting the developmental needs of young rugby players in line with the safety focus of the modern game by providing an integrated and consistent approach to the development of U6-U12 players, coaches and referees across the country. The Allambie Jets embrace the TryRugby pathway to ensure that all of our players have a fun and safe environment from which to develop their skills and enjoy their sport.
The Allambie Jets are proud of their high standards of governance and professionalism, as outlined in the constitution and annual reports detailed below.
