Allambie Rugby Club encourages children of all ages up to the Under 13 age group to join us. Please read on for further details regarding training, playing and being part of the Allambie Jets. Come and join a club where the emphasis is on friends, fun and families!

Kit, Clothing & Protective Gear: Allambie Rugby provides players with a jersey which is returned at the end of the season and shorts, socks, t-shirt and cap to keep. Players provide their own rugby boots & personal protective equipment. Mouthguards are encouraged (but not required) for U6 & U7 but are essential for U8 upwards. Headgear and shoulder pads are encouraged.
Training: All training takes place at Allambie Oval on Fridays for U6 - U9 (4pm – 5pm for U6 & U7, 5pm – 6pm for U8 & U9 & 5pm-6:30pm), U11s, U12s, U13s training TBC. **Pick up from After School Care available - TBC in 2022**
Games: U6 to U9 age groups play on Saturday mornings against teams from the 5 Manly and 7 Warringah district clubs. The fixtures are spread across these districts and may take place between Avalon, Forestville & Manly. U10s play in a Sydney wide junior competition on Friday nights and Sundays.
Format: U6's & U7's play 7 a-side tag rugby on a quarter field (2 handed tag on the shorts). U8's progress to 7 a-side tackle on a half field, with U9's playing 10 a-side tackle on a half field. For the U10s & U11s the fixtures are played on a Friday evening or Sunday morning on a full sized pitch. These age groups also have the opportunity to trial for the Manly Junior Representative sides. Parental involvement: Parents are encouraged to volunteer and become involved in the Club. Any contribution is enormously appreciated by the club. Roles include Coaching, Managing, Refereeing (U6/U7 only), Assisting at home games (set up, BBQs etc), and holding committee positions. SmartRugby training is provided by Australian Rugby for all coaches and managers. All coaches, managers and committee members undergo prohibited persons checks in accordance with child protection legislation

To help you love rugby even more, all Junior Club Rugby players can access $100 to go towards their club registration fees. How good is that?
From the 31st of January 2018, the NSW Governments Active Kids Program will enable parents / guardians / carers to receive $100 per eligible child to contribute to the registration fees to play rugby at Allambie Jets Rugby Club.
You will be able to access the program through the Service NSW website, which will generate a unique voucher code, which you can then enter into RugbyLink when registering your child for the 2018 Rugby season - each eligible player will receive the $100 voucher.
